Month-by-Month Growth
January
We began the year on a personal note, celebrating the birth of our CEO’s first child. This joyous occasion set the tone for a year filled with milestones and achievements.
February
February saw a flurry of activity with online and in-person demonstrations following successful tradeshows at the end of 2023. Little did we know, one of these demonstrations would later result in a multimillion-dollar contract. Sometimes, the most impactful opportunities arise unexpectedly!
March
Interest in Smytec was accelerating, fuelled by a successful appearance at the Security and Policing tradeshow. This pivotal month also marked the closure of our angel investment round, securing significant funding to drive growth, support international orders, and solidify our market presence.
Adding to this success, Smytec was honoured to receive the prestigious Security Innovation Awards 2024 from the UK Home Office and ADS Group Ltd. This recognition further cemented our reputation as a leader in forensic technology innovation.
April
Our CEO embarked on a transformative business trip to Southeast Asia. This journey opened doors to a critical new market, culminating in a major contract signed later in the year. It was a testament to the power of global outreach and strategic relationship-building.
May
May provided a much-needed moment of reflection. We reviewed our progress, fine-tuned strategies, and prepared for the upcoming launch of our first product and the delivery of our initial major contract.
June
We celebrated another milestone with the confirmation of our first approved budgetary sign-off for a new customer in North America. This marked the start of a promising new chapter as we expanded into another major territory, securing a significant seven-figure order months before our product’s official launch.
July
In July, our CEO attended the International Police Expo in India, where BlindSite received widespread acclaim. However, the event also highlighted the need to optimise our resources to handle the growing number of opportunities. This led to the strategic recruitment of a highly skilled Export & International Trade Manager to oversee our expanding global network.
August
The seeds sown in April’s Southeast Asia trip bore fruit in August with another major contract secured. We also signed an exclusive partnership with Kaiser SGI in Singapore, granting them representation in several neighbouring countries. This partnership has already begun to yield significant benefits, setting the stage for further growth.
September
With BlindSite’s launch approaching, we finalised important negotiations, including appointing EPE as our exclusive partner in Australia and New Zealand. Additionally, Smytec initiated a partnership with Vigilate to integrate their AFIS powered by ROC into BlindSite, enhancing our product’s capabilities for first deliveries later in the year.
October
October was a landmark month. Our CEO travelled to Saudi Arabia for INTERSEC and to Boston for the IACP conference, generating waves of interest. Most significantly, we officially launched BlindSite Scene Multi-Evidence, revolutionising forensic evidence retrieval.
November
This month was all about execution, blending R&D with the commercial manufacturing of BlindSite. We also solidified partnerships, including exclusive representation in Vietnam with BK Sci Tech.
December
December culminated in a major delivery to an international customer and further strengthened our presence in Southeast Asia with a visit to Vietnam’s International Defence Expo. This visit reinforced our partnership with BK Sci Tech, laying the groundwork for 2025.

2024 was a year of firsts and extraordinary growth for Smytec.
