Who we are…

Smytec is a forensic science technology company based in Market Harborough in the UK.

We are evolving the forensic technology landscape through the introduction of revolutionary evidence retrieval techniques combined with industry expertise and knowledge.

We are dedicated to providing law enforcement, forensic service providers, defense agencies and security services with state-of-the-art technology to transform current physical and chemical processes and evolve evidential search and recovery into the 21st Century through innovative non-contact-non-destructive evidence recovery methods.

Our goal is to improve the quality, integrity and volume of evidence recovered to enhance investigations, increase conviction rates based on forensic analyses, and improve the justice system for everyone’s benefit.

We are passionate about passing on our expertise and knowledge to budding scientists, academics, students, law enforcement, and defense agents worldwide.

We work closely with academic institutes, police forces, defense agencies, and forensic providers internationally to help teach and train motivated individuals in a wide range of forensic and policing practices.

A Hybrid-Spectral Imaging System: multi-spectral and hyper-spectral in a single, handheld device. Use in bright sunlight or darkened conditions on non-porous and porous surfaces. No chemical or physical processing. Connectivity and compatibility with Case Management Systems. Non-Contact-Non-Destructive: can be used for covert operations. Faster and more precise scene processing. Hosted AFIS for immediate identification. Secondary scene recording camera (bodycam concept). Non-contact digital scalebar – no need to place physical ruler on surface. Working distance from 15 cm to greater than 5 metres, at an angle or perpendicular to surface.
