Why “Best in Show”

Discover what sets BlindSite apart through operational impact, ongoing support, and the credibility behind the technology.

Benefits to law enforcement and military agencies

BlindSite is designed to improve evidence recovery while helping agencies work faster, reduce costs, and strengthen outcomes across the wider justice process.

Faster search and capture of invisible evidence

BlindSite supports the search and capture of invisible evidence, enabling the process to be up to 10 times faster than current methods, without the use of chemicals or powders.

Independently benchmarked performance

Independent testing has demonstrated 1.9 times improved visualisation performance compared with the closest benchmarked technique.

Leading post-blast fingerprint recovery

BlindSite has achieved the highest success rate for fingerprint recovery from post-blast IEDs, with 65% recovery compared with 2% using current techniques, based on testing with law enforcement and federal agencies.

Potential for major cost savings

BlindSite has the potential to deliver significant savings across the wider criminal justice system. Within policing budgets in England and Wales alone, estimated savings of up to £100 million per year could be achieved if BlindSite were adopted as the primary search and capture method at crime scenes.

Patented technology across the UV to NIR spectrum

Multiple patented technologies covering the UV to NIR spectrum help improve accuracy, precision, and evidence integrity during the recovery process.

Stronger evidence, stronger case progression

Initial field data suggests increased rates of guilty pleas as a result of higher volume and quality of evidence being collected, reducing the likelihood of prolonged and costly court proceedings.

Frequently Asked Questions

Quick answers to common questions. If you don’t see what you’re looking for, please get in touch.

How does AFIS comparison work in BlindSite?

BlindSite includes an integrated AFIS that searches a local database (via SD card) and matches captured fingerprint evidence. After capturing a fingermark, the system generates a marked-up image showing minutiae and performs a database search, producing a ranked list of potential matches directly on the device.

Is the AFIS functionality optional?

Yes. AFIS comparison and minutiae calculation are optional features. They can be disabled based on customer requirements or local data protection regulations.

How do software updates work?

There are two types of updates: operational and functional. Operational updates are included with the device for three years. Functional updates, which introduce new features, are included within the Service & Maintenance contract or can be purchased separately.

What is the format of training?

Training is delivered in person over two full days. Participants are provided with supporting materials, including workbooks and videos, enabling them to train additional team members and support effective deployment within their organisation.
