As the year came to a close, Smytec reflected on a period of significant international engagement, innovation and collaboration across the forensic and security sectors.
During the final months of the year, Smytec representatives attended two major industry events focused on forensic science, public safety and operational resilience. CEO Alex participated in the European Network of Forensic Science Institutes (ENFSI) Fingerprint Working Group meeting in Barcelona, where police forces, forensic practitioners and industry stakeholders gathered to discuss the latest developments in fingerprint recovery and forensic technologies.
The event provided an important opportunity to demonstrate how BlindSite’s patented hyperspectral visualisation capabilities can enhance fingerprint recovery sensitivity compared with traditional multispectral approaches. Discussions throughout the conference highlighted the increasing demand for advanced forensic tools capable of improving evidence retrieval accuracy and operational efficiency. (Smytec)
At the same time, Smytec team members Rob and Natalia represented the company at the Public Security and Resilience Exhibition (PSRE) Scotland 2025. The event focused on security, resilience and public safety challenges ahead of major international events, including preparations surrounding the Commonwealth Games Scotland 2026. (Smytec)
These events reflected Smytec’s continued commitment to strengthening relationships across forensic science, law enforcement and defence sectors while expanding the reach of BlindSite internationally. As the company continues to grow throughout 2026, Smytec remains focused on delivering innovative forensic technologies that support operational teams in real-world environments.
The company also confirmed plans for further international engagement throughout the coming year, including participation in major forensic and security exhibitions across Europe and North America. (Smytec)
