American Academy of Forensic Science (AAFS) Conference, 21-25 February 2022, Seattle, Washington, USA

The virtual portion of this year's hybrid conference will be hosted by a leading meetings, events, and hospitality technology provider, Cvent. Several sessions will be live-streamed, and all pre-recorded scientific workshops will be available on the virtual platform for 60 days following the conference. This technological leap for AAFS is supported by the 2021-22 theme set forth by 74th Academy President Carl McClary, MS – "A Responsive Academy, Meeting and Surpassing the Challenges of a Modern Forensic Science World."

In an effort to lead as a responsive membership organization, and advance the field of forensic science, the Academy has made significant advancements in the last 12 months to establish a more solid foundation for the future. Included among these betterments was the presentation of the new AAFS logo, the launching of a new public website, and the transition to a new account portal experience that provides more benefits to AAFS members and non-members. Furthermore, there have been significant internal changes to Academy staff, including the introduction of a new meetings department who heads the planning of the first hybrid forensic science conference.
